New FDA Guidelines Enhance Breast Cancer Detection Rates
Staff Report / ATLlocal.org
According to the Healing Community Center in Atlanta, Georgia, one in eight women will receive a diagnosis of breast cancer at some point in their lives. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has implemented new requirements aimed at improving the detection of breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue. These changes are intended to enhance the effectiveness of mammograms and may lead to an increased identification of cancer cases among this demographic.
